bullet  General Notes:

My great great grandfather

Born at Binley, Warwickshire in 1820. At the time of his marriage to Harriet Hutchings in 1848 his address was given as: Moor St, Birmingham and his occupation was that of a tailor. In 1849 he and Harriet had their first child, Elizabeth Ann at the village of Church Lawford, Warwickshire. In 1852 they had another daughter, Letitia and were now living at Northumberland St, Aston. William was now a railway porter. When both Mary Crofts and James John were born in 1854 and 1857 respectively, William was still working as a porter and living at: Blucher St, Birmingham. In 1860 when his son Charles was born, he was living in Rugby and was now working as a tailor again as he still was when Harriet Maria was born in 1862.

Elizabeth Ann, Letitia Kench and Harriet Maria were all baptised at St Andrews Church, Rugby, between 1863 and 1864. According to the parish register, in the case of all three girls, William was listed as a tailor living in Rugby, as he was when James John got married in 1890.
