Elizabeth Crofts

  General Notes:

At her wedding to John Barnwell in 1810, one of the witnesses was James Crofts (her young uncle).

In the Victuallers Database, 1801 to 1828, Elizabeth Barnwell is listed as being the victualler of the Red Lion, Church Lawford from 1825 to 1828 and in an 1835 copy of Pigotts Warwickshire Directory, Elizabeth Barnwell is listed as being the proprietor of the Red Lion, Church Lawford.

In the 1841 census she is listed as a nurse.

Elizabeth married John Barnwell, son of Richard Barnwell and Letticia Kench, on 19 Jul 1810 in St Peter's, Church Lawford, Warwickshire. (John Barnwell was born in 1783 in Thurlaston, Dunchurch, Warwickshire, christened on 26 Nov 1783 in St Peter's, Dunchurch, Warwickshire and died about 1855.)

• Marriage by Licence: From the Parish Register, 19 Jul 1810, St Peter's, Church Lawford, Warwickshire. John Barnwell and Elizabeth Crofts were married by licence in this Parish Church on the 19th July 1810 by me
