My great great great grandfather
At his wedding to Elizabeth Crofts in 1810, one of the witnesses was given as Lettitia Barnwell (his mother or his sister?).
When Elizabeth was born in 1817 he was a Farmer.
When Letitia was baptised in 1822 his occupation was a Publican, as it was in 1824 when Maria was baptised. In the Victuallers Database, 1801 to 1828, John Barnwell is listed as being the victualler of the Red Lion, Church Lawford from 1822 to 1824.
His occupation at the time of his son William's wedding in 1848 was given as Innkeeper.
John married Elizabeth Crofts, daughter of John Crofts and Sarah Burt, on 19 Jul 1810 in St Peter's, Church Lawford, Warwickshire. (Elizabeth Crofts was born in 1784 in Church Lawford, Warwickshire, christened on 27 Sep 1784 in St Peter's, Church Lawford, Warwickshire and died on 27 Jun 1849.)
