Sir William Brandon

Sir William Brandon was the son of Sir William Brandon and Elizabeth Wingfield. He married Elizabeth Bruyn, daughter of Sir Henry Bruyn and Elizabeth Darcy, before 4 November 1475. He died on 22 August 1485 at the battle of Bosworth, Leicestershire, England, killed in action. Brandon was the only notable victim in Henry's army at Bosworth, having been killed by King Richard III while carrying Henry's royal standard.
