Benjamin Shadbolt

Benjamin moved to Hawkes Bay c1908, having sold his share of his father's farm. He first farmed at Waipukarau, then moved to Haumoana, here he had a small farm on which he had his own Trotting Track.

Benjamin married Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Joseph Brown and Margaret Petch, on 13 Mar 1883 in Christchurch Reg. Office, New Zealand. (Elizabeth Brown was born about 1862 in Wooton, Lincolnshire, christened on 22 Jun 1862 in Wooton, Lincolnshire and died in 1912 in Hastings H.B. New Zealand.)
