William married Alice Barron, daughter of William Henry Barron and Louisa Homewood, in 1932 in St Peters (Drypool), Hull, Yorkshire. (Alice Barron was born on 25 Oct 1909 in Sunderlandwick, Little Driffield, Humberside.)
