Cornelius married Sarah Gilpin in 1847 in Sculcoates, East Riding, Yorkshire. (Sarah Gilpin died before 1860.)

Cornelius next married Margaret Sweeney Mar Qtr 1860 in Pontefract District, South Yorkshire. (Margaret Sweeney was born about 1831 in Ireland.)

Suspect they had a son Thomas Barron at Farnworth, Lancashire about 1860.

Cornelius next married Mary. (Mary was born about 1838 in West Ferry, Lincolnshire.)
