• Census, 3 Apr 1881, Bourton-on-Dunsmore, Warwickshire.

• Census, 7 Jun 1841, Bourton-on-Dunsmore, Warwickshire. Maria was living in the household of John & Mary Smith as a servant, six years later she was to marry John Smith who was then aged at least 61.

Maria married John Smith on 9 Aug 1847 in St Peter's, Bourton-on-Dunsmore, Warwickshire. (John Smith was born in 1786 in Coventry, Warwickshire, christened on 24 May 1786 in St Michael's, Coventry, Warwickshire and died before 3 Apr 1881.)
