The 1851 Census also lists Elizabeth Gay, widow, age 66, pauper as 'moth'. This would seem to be too old to be his mother, so is it his mother in law?

• Census, 8 Apr 1861, Freeman Street, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk. Listed as: Age 41; Occupation - Sawyer.

• Census, 3 Apr 1881, 27 Havelock Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Listed as: Age 62; Occupation - Sawyer.

Martin married Jane L ? about 1850. (Jane L ? was born about 1820 in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk.)
