• Military Service, 10 Sep 1914. Joined 3rd Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment. Transferred to 3rd Battalion East Kent Regiment 'The Buffs' 2 Jun 1915 and posted with the 2nd Battalion as part of the BEF 15 Jun 1915. Was with the 1st Battalion from 3 Jan 1916 until killed in action 23 Aug 1916.
